About trip
Prior to the fire of 2000, our camp was located on a State Land lease about a ten-minute walk from Big Creek. This site lost all of its charm in the fire. So we went searching for a new location for our fishing camp. The result was “Fish Camp“; the most perfect setting for a wilderness, fly in, horseback fishing camp.

Fish Camp is likely to be the most remote location in the lower 48, located in the heart of the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness area. Complete with mature shade trees, nearby swimming hole, and mud wrestling pit for the young and the young at heart. You will enjoy sandy beaches, endless miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, whether along Big Creek or high into the surrounding mountains. The camp is equipped with roomy wall tents, cots, wood stoves, lanterns, a complete cook tent with room for indoor dining if necessary.

Most everything we do at Fish Camp is outside.

You will be fishing for Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Whitefish, which range from 4-18 inches in length. You may also catch incidentally, Steelhead Trout, Salmon and Bull Trout. Minimum 2 guests, you must bring your own partner. Includes flight to and from Challis to the Wilderness, camp amenities, all food, and non-alcoholic beverages. You provide your personal gear, fishing gear, and alcoholic beverages. Fly fishing or spin casting equipment are both acceptable. You must fish with artificial fly or lure with a single barbless hook. Lures with treble hook must have 2 hooks removed and flatten barb on the third. For flies, you only have to flatten the barb.

Flights to and from Challis to the backcountry included with all groups of 2 or more guests, staying 5 or more days.
